Spam notifications on desktop

If the user is receiving an excess of pop-up notifications or warnings, this is most likely due to a browser that is allowing desktop notifications from an ad network. Open the browser in question and look around in the Settings for any sites that are allowed to send notifications (in Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Notifications). Remove any sites that should not be in the list.
