Colleague Password Requirements

Our current Colleague password convention is that your password must:
- Be at least 8 characters long, no more than 16
- And within the first 7 characters you need to include
- 1 Capital Letter and
- 1 Number and
- 1 Special Character
- You should be prompted to change your password every 120 days.
- The system will check back 3 passwords, so you must have at least 4 passwords to cycle through.
- The password cannot contain your username at all.
If you are presented with the Password Expiration box, we suggest that you determine a new password before clicking on OK. If you take a long time determining your new password at this box:
then your password change may fail.

The change password prompt will expire after a couple of minutes and you are limited to 3 attempts to change before you have to start over. See Colleague Password Complexity for guidelines on what passwords can be used.
