How-To: Change my Sage password via Microsoft Azure

Why is my password expiring?

For security purposes, your password will expire every 360 days. Please follow the instructions below to change your password before it expires. For more information, please review the Password Information page.

Here's how it's done

Visit the password reset page

Go to https://password.sage.edu using any browser on a PC or mobile device. You will be brought to the Microsoft Azure account recovery page.  Enter your Sage email and the captcha code, then click next.

Select "I forgot my password" and click next.

Verify your account.


Next, you will be prompted for verification.  You may need to complete multiple verification steps.  You can send a notification to your authenticator app to enter a code, or send a text or call to your phone and receive a code.

Set a new password

Enter your new password in the provided fields.  Click finish when you are done.

Wrapping up

At this point, you have changed your Sage password. Please take note of the caveats below.

After changing your password, ensure that you update your credentials on devices that use your password behind the scenes. If you fail to do this, your account could end up locked out after a number of failed authentication attempts. Some common places to update your password include Wi-Fi devices (phone/laptop) that connect to Sage's Wi-Fi and email clients on mobile phones.
