Moodle Course Backup & Restore
Backup and Restores allow the user to move content from one course to another. Below are steps to complete the task by yourself or
Step-by-step guide
Backup

- Go to course in new Moodle (moodle.sage.edu)
- Take note of how many blocks are in the course (you will need this information later during the restore process)
- On the left, under Settings, click backup
- Click Next until you reach Perform Backup
- Click Perform backup
- Click Continue
You are done with this part
Restore

- Go to new course in new Moodle (moodle.sage.edu)
- On the left, under Settings, click restore
- Scroll down to User Private Backup area and click Restore next to your course (it should be the first one on the list)
- Continue
- Scroll down to Restore into this course > Merge the backup course into this course > Continue
- Click Next until you reach Perform Restore
- Click Perform restore
- Click Continue
- Your course is now restored
