How-to use generate link.sage.edu URLs

This will guide you through the process of generating URLs short urls using using Sage’s short url server.

 Instructions

Request Access

1. If you have not already open a ticket with IT at https://sc.sage.edu and request access to our short link server.

2. IT will generate an API key for you and provide it to you. Save the API key in a password manager.

Log In

1. Visit https://link-ui.sage.edu

2. Click the status:+ Add A Server button

3. Fill out the server information field

   1. Name: link.sage.edu

   2. URL: https://link.sage.edu

   3. API Key: <The API Key that IT provided to you>

4. Click the status:Create Server button.

Create URL

1. In the input labeled “URL to be shortened” paste the URL you would like to shorten and mask with a sage.edu domain.

2. Optionally provide a custom slug for the URL

3. Optionally add tags for the URL to organize and sort URLs with

4. After creating the URL you’ll be able to copy and share the URL.
