How To: Manage voicemail on Sage Polycom phones

This article will guide you through the many operations pertaining to your voicemail service at Sage.

Here's how it's done

Login to the voicemail system


Press the Messages button on any of the Sage office phones.

You can also dial 4500 from on campus or 1-518-244-4500 from off campus 


Enter your 4-digit extension followed by the sign.

Enter your password followed by the sign.

Choose your task from the menu

Press the number or symbol indicated for that task. (E.G. 1 for voicemail messages).

Voicemail setup


Press 0 to enter voicemail setup after logging in.

Record your unavailable message

Press to record your normal message when someone doesnt reach you.

Record your busy message

Press 2 to record a message while you are busy.

Record your name

Press 3 to record your full name.

Record your temporary message

Press 4 to enter the temporary message menu.

Press 1 to record your temporary message.

Press 2 to erase your temporary message (going back to "unavailable" standard).


Read voicemail messages

Press 1 to listen to your voicemail messages after logging in.

Advanced options

Press 3 to enter advanced options menu.

Press 1 to Reply.

Press 2 to Call back.

Press 3 to Envelope


Play previous message

Press 4 to play the previous message.

Play current message

Press 5 to play the current message again.

Play next message

Press 6 to play the the next message in line.

Delete current message

Press 7 to delete the current message.

Forward message to another mailbox

Press 8 to forward messages to another mailbox.

Press 1 to use the voicemail number.

Press 2 to use the voicemail directory.

Save message in a folder

Press 9 to save a message to a folder.

 Click to expand folder menu

Press 0 to save to New Messages.

Press 1 to save to Old Messsages.

Press 2 to save to Work Messages.

Press 3 to save to Family Messages.

Press 4 to save to Friends Messages.

Help

Press * to enter Help menu.

If you press * during a message playback, it will rewind the message.

Exit

Press # to Exit the voicemail messages menu.

If you press # during a message playback, it will skip forward to later in the message.

Change folders


Press 2 to change folders for different voicemail messages.


 Click to expand folder menu

Press 0 to go to New Messages.

Press 1 to go to Old Messsages.

Press 2 to go to Work Messages.

Press 3 to go to Family Messages.

Press 4 to go to Friends Messages.

Advanced options


Press 3 to open the advanced options menu.


 Click to expand advanced options menu

Press 5 to send a message

Press 1 to use the voicemail number.

Press 2 to use the voicemail directory.

Help

Press * to enter Help menu.

Exit

Press to Exit the voicemail menu.

After recording a message

This includes incoming message, busy/unavail greeting, or name

Press to Accept

Press to Review

Press to Re-record
