No internet connection (Laptop)
If the user is located in an office, check the ethernet cable plugged into their docking station. The dock port should be connected to the pass-through port on the user’s IP phone, and the LAN port on the phone should be connected to the wall. In some buildings, the phone may also need a power adapter connected to it. If the phone is not on, the network connection will not work. Check also that the dock’s power supply is plugged in.
If the laptop is plugged into a dock it should automatically disable its wi-fi connection, but if the user is unable to connect, try turning off or disconnecting wi-fi.
If the user does not use a docking station and is unable to connect to wi-fi, have them forget the Sage_Colleges and Sage_Guest networks. You can do this by going to Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-fi. Click on “Manage Known Networks”, locate the two Sage networks in the list, and click “Forget”. Then try rejoining Sage_Colleges with the user’s username and current password. If it still does not connect, check to see if the user’s account is locked out in Active Directory.
